Third-party Certifications to Bring Credence to Your Programs

Being trained in NDE is one thing, being competent and able to prove it is quite often another. Our client partners have found real value in having ND3 certify their technicians. Having an unbiased approach to certification leads to better results for their clients.

One of the most used recommended documents in NDE is ASNT SNT-TC-1A, a document that recommends how employers qualify and certify their technicians.  It is mainly employer based and allows for some leeway in qualification and certification based upon which methods are employed, to what extent (from a technique stand-point) and based upon the acceptance criteria that will be applied. This has, in the past, led to some employers taking the not-so-high road when it comes to certification.

The end user is keenly aware of this and sometimes, in some facilities, require a practical examination of technicians prior to allowing that technician to perform NDE. An independent certification from ND3 will go a long way to bringing credence to your NDE program. We believe that any time a third-party professional can provide a service, the program benefits.

So, whether you don’t have the time or manpower to administer your own tests, want third-party oversight of the certification process, or are being asked by your client to institute independent qualification and certification, ND3 will take on the task, using your procedures codes, standards, specifications, and acceptance criteria to maintain that your technical staff are up to the NDE tasks to which they have been assigned.
